Stop what you are doing! The literary event of 2014 is upon us! The 6th June should be be nominated as a national day of reading just so everyone can enjoy the greatest book to never win a notable prize! That’s right 6th June is the day in which David Allen Black’s memoir is released! ‘It’s all Greek to me: Confessions of an unlikely academic’ hits bookstores on the 6th June. It can be pre-ordered HERE from Energion books and I am sure it will pop up on Amazon very soon. Might I add that $4 is far too little to pay for such a book but hey, I don’t set the prices! ;)
Here’s the blurb about Dave’s story, “If you’ve been looking for a way to go from that surfboard to the Greek classroom, this is the book for you! That’s not your goal? Then how about following God’s leading wherever it takes you?
Dave Black believes it’s all about mission, and living for God means just that. Your mission may be right in your own home, or it may take you on a journey into danger. Coming back alive may not be assured.
But adventure is!”
I’m not sure if I mentioned this but a while ago on FB Dave asked for title suggestions. I came up with the first half of the title, ‘It’s all Greek to me’ and Jacob Cerone named the second half of the title. As a result I will be receiving a copy for review (thanks Henry!).
A hearty congratulations to Dave and I look forward to reading your story.
